
True North's Breeding Program
All True North puppies and dogs are raised in home and are very much apart of my everyday life. From the first day the puppies are whelped to the day they go home, they are a part of the pack. My breeding programs foundation are built on integrity, health, and temperament! True North's ultimate goal is produce genetically sound Shilohs and a solid temperament. Breeding for health, temperament, and type (confirmation, structure, and to breed standard) is crucial!
Health Testing

DNA Testing for parentage; on file with UC Davis Laboratories in California

HIPS: OFA x-rays certified

ELBOWS: OFA x-ray certified

HEART CERTIFICATION: OFA certified and Holter testing

TEMPERAMENT: evaluated and certified​​

DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) DNA testing
Guarantees Against:

Hip dysplasia, determined by OFA AND PennHip examination and certification up to 26 months of age;

Genetic or congenital defects apparent by 12 months of age ( must be substantiated by veterinary documentation), that will adversely affect the puppy’s longevity or quality of life.

If any of these genetic deficiencies arise, breeder retains the right to choose to refund or replace puppy/dog. Please note I do not require you to send your Shiloh back in the event of a refund or replacement puppy, however if you are unable to care for the Shiloh due to the genetic deficiency, I will gladly take the Shiloh back into my home.
Litter Evaluation Report (LER)

An LER is a series of tests that are conducted between the ages of 7-9 weeks of age to determine the current temperament of the Shiloh puppy.
